Life Is Full of Surprises!

Graduation 2014:  Me, Elvira, Tania, and Shelby

This is Elvira's daughter, Joana.

Hello everyone,

I figured I'd write to fill in anyone who hadn't heard the happy news yet.  My former student, Elvira, was granted a student visa.  Her and her daughter, Joana, will be living with me for the next two years while Elvira is studying at the community college!

So far, it's been amazing to see God's plan in all of this.  Elvira was able to enroll in her classes a week late, Joana was given a scholarship at a Catholic school here, and generous friends and family have provided us with beds, dressers, Elvira's cell phone, clothes, school supplies, and much much more!  Thanks be to God and to all of you for your generosity and prayers!

They arrived ten days ago and have been very busy ever since.  Here's some pics of their life in the U.S. thus far!

Safely arrived in Houston!

Joana's first day of school.

Joana's favorite seat at my parents' house.

Taking the bus in Corpus Christi, a first for me also

I'll keep y'all posted about my Belizeans in the U.S.!  God bless!
